The Hughson Family Resource Center held its "Harvest of Hope" Awards Dinner on September 26th at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Hughes Hall with 183 community members in attendance. Awards were presented in recognition of outstanding philanthropic and volunteer contributions to those who have demonstrated financial support and personal community involvement in the advancement of the Center's mission "to prevent child abuse, family violence and to reduce the effects of poverty and unhealthy lifestyles." Our short definition of philanthropy 'is love of mankind'. Through their love of mankind, those receiving the award have provided children and families a "Harvest of Hope". |
