Parenting Classes
Our Empire parenting classes will be held at Empire Elementary School from 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. on the follwing dates:
February 27th, 2012
March 5,12,19,26, 2012
April 2,16,23, 2012

Parenting Classes are provided in both English and Spanish.
Individual Family Parenting is also available upon request.
 
 Some of the topics discussed are:
  • Communication
  • Discipline
  • Child Development
  • Stress and Anger Management
  • Problem Solving
  • Safety
  • Adolescent topics as requested.
A snack and Childcare are provided as well. For the children ages 0-5 the focus is on school readiness activities such as following directions, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, and listening activities. These are all taught through games, stories, and other fun activities. The children who are 6+ have a social skills class. Topics include communication, coping with stress, friendship, and problem solving. These issues are discussed and are practiced with games and activities which coincide with the lesson.

These classes are brought to our community though our partner – Sierra Vista Child & Family Services which received a grant from Stanislaus County Community Services Agency and Stanislaus County Children and Families Commission.
